45 years ago today the world lost a leader in Human Rights. Martin Luther King Jr. was shot and killed in Memphis at the age of 39. Mr. King remains as one of the best examples of a civil rights activist and a tribute to non-violent protest. His legacy is the progress of civil rights all over the world. His leadership led to an understanding that racism and discrimination doesn’t just hurt those who are discriminated against, but all of us in turn.
SJS would like to express our thanks for the service, and ultimate sacrifice Rev. King gave. Our world would have been a very different place without him, and his teachings can help inspire us all.
Dr. King told us his dream. What is yours?
