Mindfulness Training For Our Troops

The military might finally be getting some preemptive training that could lessen the risk for post-combat related disorders. A group incorporating mindfulness techniques such as breathing techniques, focused attention and regulating symptoms. In addition to stress inoculation training, crisis intervention and post deployment treatment, many of these disorders could be better regulated and treated with the help of pre-deployment training. The military can train and prepare the troops for pretty much any situation. By adding in alternative ways of dealing with high trauma/stress situations could decrease many of the psychological consequences that go along with it. It is nice to see the military looking into mindfulness and alternative ways of coping.
