I am currently reading the book ‘Mindsight’ by Daniel J. Siegel, MD who is a clinical professor of psychiatry at UCLA School of Medicine and co-director of the UCLA Mindful Awareness Research Center. The book focuses on the practice of ‘mindsight’ based on emotional and social intelligence and uses a holistic approach, http://drdansiegel.com/books/mindsight/ .
The book discusses recurring conflict in our lives and relationships that are caused by a mental ‘trap’.
The ‘mindsight’ can lead to positive lasting changes in the brain and our lives and discusses the approaches one can use to free themself from obstacles that block their happiness. The approach is holistic which I like both personally and professionally.
If you are intrigued…..good. If you are unsure…..that is ok too! It is worth reading and I will provide a further update when I finish the book.
