Something New is Brewing in our Community

As a tiny introduction to get acquainted, we are Chanda Brown and Samantha Nason of Zest it Up, a locally run event design and catering company.  We had the honor of working with all the amazing volunteers at FCNI’s Benefit for Kids this past July.  We were left so impressed by the caliber of work being done by Family Care Network and by all the wonderful vendors and attendees who so wholeheartedly came out to support their mission, that we can say we were officially “bit by the bug!”  This strength is the kind that lifts up those who struggle and knits them more intricately into the fabric of our community.  Those without a voice, are given a voice. We found ourselves wanting to dive deeper and call more people out to connect and support FCNI.

Being in the event industry, the most natural way for us to call people together is with a party.  However, we desired to carry this passion for community through to the actual gathering. The result?  We are so very excited to announce the first of four seasonally inspired Zesty Pop Up Dinners this November 19th to benefit FCNI. 

“What is a pop up dinner,” you may ask.  Here is the long and the short of it: it is one of the newer food trends igniting all over the country.  Essentially, it’s the creation of a pop-up restaurant in a unique space that–in our case–will be open for one night only.  A pop-up dinner is a unique dining experience which lends itself beautifully to the enjoyment of fine food, adventure and the community that happens around the table.  After all, when have you known the chatter of foodies and vinophiles around the table to not be electric and passionate? And add to all of this, the amazing support being given to the children, youth and families cared for by FCNI!

So we ask, “Wanna be friends?”  For our Fall Pop Up Dinner, we are throwing a “friendsgiving” at a secret location to celebrate our love of community, great food, fabulous wine, fresh music, and the Family Care Network.  Buy your ticket now, as spaces are limited, and find out the mystery spot for this unique experience on November 19th! Bring a date, bring a mate or fly solo! We want you to come and feast with us before you head off to your relatives and that traditional green bean casserole. Attendees must be 21 and over. All proceeds benefit Family Care Network and the work they do!
