Hostages Taken In Afghanistan

There have been reports of a hostage situation in Afghanistan. Approximately ten individuals; Turkish, Russian and possibly one Afghan national, have been taken after a helicopter was forced to land during poor weather. Taliban groups have taken responsibility for the action. Multiple government agencies are negotiating to free to hostages and international groups have joined the efforts to search for the team. At this time, there are a number of hostages within the country, some prisoners have been held for nearly four years.

SJS hopes for their safe return.
