Do you know about our tree of the month? The tree is a fun way to jog and challenge our memories, to learn new skills or brush up on old ones as we make decorations for the tree.

Here is the January tree, so far. Tomorrow we are going to make ‘I have a dream” ornaments:January 2017 treeSo, even though it is cold and dreary outside, inside Aging With Grace we have lots of warmth and cheer. Speaking of cheer, remember that old television sitcom, ‘Cheers’? The theme song said something about,

“Sometimes you wanna go..

Where everybody knows your name
And they’re always glad you came.
You wanna be where you can see,
The troubles are all the same.
You wanna be where everybody knows your name”

That reminds me of Aging With Grace. We come together and share with one another. Troubles shared are troubles halved and joys shared are joys doubled. And we have a nurse here. Ha ha…imagine the Cheers crew as older people here at Aging With Grace. And instead of a bartender and waitress they have a nurse and a dining director! Still having fun after all these years…hey, isn’t that a line from another song?

We are also like Starbucks…a third place https://www.fastcompany.com/887990/starbucks-third-place-and-creating-ultimate-customer-experience ; But for older folks who no longer work, it is home, some other place (like church or doctor’s offices), and Aging With Grace.
