Upcoming NYC Concert to Raise Funds for Older Foster Youth

logo-chronicle (2)This year’s Voices for the Voiceless: Stars for Foster Kids benefit concert will be held on Monday, September 12th at 7 p.m. at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre in New York City.

The second annual Voices for the Voiceless concert for You Gotta Believe is presented by Seth Rudetsky, James Wesley and Beachbody.com, and will gather singers and supporters to raise awareness and fundraise for New York City’s foster children.

Hollywood and Broadway stars are set to take the stage for a night of special appearances and musical performances in support of You Gotta Believe. Stars Rosie Perez, Gloria Gaynor, Megan Hilty, Chita Rivera, Sherri Saum, Rachel Crow and Stephanie Mills will be participating in this year’s production.

Tickets start at $47 and are on sale via Ticketmaster. VIP and ambassador tickets, including sponsorship ticket packages offering an after party, are also available.

Proceeds from the event will support You Gotta Believe’s efforts to ensure that every child leaves foster care with a family. Last year’s event raised over $500,000.

You Gotta Believe is New York City’s only non-profit dedicated to connecting older youth in foster care with permanent families. You Gotta Believe’s main platform, Nobody Ages Out, aims to ensure that every young person in foster care will have a family before they reach the age, typically 18 or 21 depending on state laws, when they “age out” of care and are left without a support system.
