Unseen Chains is a film that tells the story of a young girl who is manipulated into a domestic minor sex trafficking ring. Domestic minor sex trafficking (DMST) is the commercial sexual exploitation of children through buying, selling, or trading their sexual services. Once a girl is coerced into the sex trade, she will most likely die within 7 years due to drug overdose, untreated STD, physical abuse, or she will be murdered when she no longer becomes useful and poses as a liability. Victims who escape will return to the sex trade out of fear, drug addiction, or because the have nowhere else to go.  This film will highlight these processes and consequences a trafficking victim faces. The film will be distributed through online services such as Amazon, Vimeo, and iTunes.

To ensure that the production runs smoothly, Pocket Chains Studios, created by Tandem Media, hopes to raise at least $20,000 to cover the production costs. Ways that you can help include the following:

  • Share the campaign worldwide.

  • Grant programs for the film so that it could be connected to a curriculum for use by schools after the film is completed.

  • Be a Chain Breaker Ambassador by seeking out 10 backers of $100 or more.

The ultimate goal of this film is to raise awareness of human trafficking and it serves as a product that survivor support organizations can use to support their efforts. So be a part of this meaningful cause by donating any amount to support the campaign!
