Project Paw: Making a Difference One Paw at a Time

Since I was young, I had a love for animals especially dogs and cats. I have had birds, turtles, cats, fish, hermit crabs, and dogs. It fascinates me the differences between each animal. Animals I feel are similar to humans; different personalities that can enrich the lives of both companions. My love for animals and one episode of Animal Cops on Animal Planet sparked an idea that centers around advocating for animals around macro issues such as animal abuse and resources, and micro issues such as connecting animals to their loving companions.

Based off this vague idea, I began to brainstorm possible plans of actions for Project Paw. One idea was to write in depth about macro issues concerning animal rights on Social Justice Solutions and a personal blog to educate people on the current concerns and topics. A second idea was to help local shelters in the area I live get animals adopted out to appropriate companions. I am still in the brainstorming phase of Project Paw, and the possibilities seem endless right now. I look forward to sharing Project Paws’ progress, and would accept any help if anyone would like to get involved.
