North Korea – Successful Rocket Launch Puts An Object In Orbit

There has been growing International concern over technological advances in rocketry in North Korea. Past attempts have failed, but in the latest attempt the multi-stage rocket was able to enter space and deploy an object in orbit. North Korea is claiming that they deployed a weather satellite.

There is growing tension over the launch in the international community, but what caught my eye was China’s “deep concern”. If China is concerned we have a problem. North Korea is not the most stable international body. There continue to be distressing reports of human rights violations inside the country which include 200,00 people indentured in labor camps. Even more disturbing is a leaked video:

“…the video shows the distressing abuse of tightly muzzled baboons and bears, forced to rollerskate and jump rope up to three times a day as circus entertainment.”

Profiling nations using mental health diagnoses is nothing new. North Korea fits Anti-Social Personality disorder to a tee. Antisocial personality disorder is a mental health condition in which a person has a long-term pattern of manipulating, exploiting, or violating the rights of others. China’s deep concern should be felt by all. A nation that fits the description of a psychological disorder now has the power to launch an ICBM. I am not one for paranoia, but this worries me. Please weigh in with your thoughts.
