An Election Tie in Dixville Notch New Hampshire

Let’s set this election day off to a somewhat amusing tone and talk again about the Swing state of New Hampshire. Since 1960 the town of Dixville Notch, which has 10 registered voters and a voting record of 100% participation, has opened their polls shortly after Midnight on election day. By state law, polling locations are allowed to close once all voters have voted or at the designated time. This year, the votes were in several minutes after midnight and for the first time there was a tie of 5-Obama and 5-Romney. These are the first results in the nation, in what is sure to be an interesting election.
